CEGCO offers employees training courses in collaboration with British Council

Central Electricity Generating Company (CEGCO) announced that its Learning and Development department, which falls under the Company's Human Resources division, has commenced in-house English training courses for 525 CEGCO employees.
The first part of the courses will take place between 3rd and 29th April, 2013, at CEGCO's various locations, including its headquarters, the Al-Hussein Thermal Power Station in Zarqa and the Rehab Gas Turbine Power Station. The courses will cover business writing skills and presentations, amongst other topics. Additional training courses are scheduled to take place in May and June at the Company's Aqaba Thermal Power Station during working hours.
These training courses correspond with CEGCO's strategy aimed at honing the skills of its employees and arming them with knowledge that is imperative to their professional and personal growth and development. The trainees will undergo English placement tests to evaluate their progress and will receive official certificates from the British Council upon completion of their courses.
The courses will be divided into two parts, first of which will target 105 employees from CEGCO's headquarters, the Marka Power Station, the South Amman Power Station and the Risheh Power Station, in addition to 145 employees from the Al-Hussein Thermal Power Station and 87 from the Rehab Gas Turbine Power Station and the Risheh Power Station. The second part of the courses will commence in May and will offer training to 186 employees from the Aqaba Thermal Power Station.
