Chie Mihara launches in Dubai

Chie Mihara Autumn-Winter 2012/13 collection boasts of an eclectic mix of designs, colours and textures with a focus on the governess of an old style school, very austere look mixed with 70's platforms and chunky straight heels.

Mihara launched her shoe line ten years ago in Spain in order to offer women something different; footwear designed by woman for women, with a priority placed on design and comfort.

After studying design in Japan and then in New York, Mihara worked at Eneslow, an orthopedic shoe store, learning about foot anatomy and common foot problems.

Her knowledge in these areas enabled her to successfully combine the three main elements of the perfect shoe: Quality, Comfort, Design. Her work reflects contemporary esthetics and modern fashion combined with a high end quality and a smart approach to comfort.

Her distinctive footwear quickly gained a following devoted to Chie's unique approach to comfort and style.

Her work experience includes working as a shoe and bag designer for Sam & Libby, NY and for Charles Jourdan, a french luxury line of shoes. In 1995, at age 27, she moved to Elda, Spain, where the Chie Mihara brand was born six years later in 2001.

"We're mothers, working women, active women! And we should have shoes that match our needs. We want to look feminine, beautiful, attractive but without giving up comfort," said Chie Mihara. Chie's designs empower working women to be stylish without compromising comfort and good quality.

Chie Mihara has now over 1000 clients worldwide, including luxury department stores such as Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus in the U.S.A, Selfridges in England, Isetan in Japan, and Le Bon Marché in Paris and is very excited to launch in LEVEL, The Shoe District at The Dubai Mall.
