Chinese printer brand Pantum launches in MENA

  • United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, October 17 - 2012 at 09:32
  • PRESS RELEASE

Chinese printer manufacturer Pantum is now ready to take on the MENA market and will showcase a new range of laser printing solutions at GITEX in Dubai 2012. Part of the Chinese group Seine Technology Co. Ltd. and in a strategic partnership with Legend Capital, Pantum is China's first OEM to launch into the printer hardware and consumables industry in MENA, offering a new choice to SOHO and SMB printer users, as well as channel partners.

Having served the printer consumables industry for many years, Seine made a strategic decision in 2006 to begin developing its own brand of laser printing solutions: Pantum.

Pantum now offers a full range of competitive laser printers to the global market. Taking advantage of Seine's unique industry position, these reliable printers are using only Seine's own technology and ensure a long product life cycle and a high monthly workload, bringing the best total usage cost in its class.

Pantum is dedicated to becoming one of the world's top 5 printer manufacturers within the next few years through consistent investment and long-term commitment to the printing industry. As part of its global expansion, Pantum is now entering the Middle Eastern and African markets and is looking for new channel partners, proposing a unique business model that guarantees long term benefits.

Jackson Wang, CEO at Seine, comments: "With several years of experience in the printing industry, Pantum has successfully entered the global printing market and is the first printer manufacturer using its own technology in China. Our mission is to provide global printer users with cost-effective and high quality printing solutions and we are excited to offer a new choice to users on the MENA market, offering a new alternative to the big monopolies."

The range of laser printers that will be on show at GITEX includes the reliable monochrome laser printers Pantum 1000 / 2000 series, MFP 5200 series and P3000 small work team printers. These offer high-quality printing and a low total cost of ownership, making them the ideal printing solution for small and medium sized businesses. With a robust design, the machines rarely have paper jams and feature a long engine life.

"We were quite impressed with the reliability of the Pantum P2000 and P2050," said BLI Lab Manager Pete Emory.

"Both units sailed through a rigorous 20,000-impression test with no misfeeds or malfunctions. This is especially significant because most competitive printers have duty cycles that are only a fraction of that of the Pantum devices."

Robert Liang, Sales Director for the MENA region at Pantum, said: "GITEX is the most influential exhibition in the region, providing Pantum with the ideal platform to launch our products in the Middle East and Africa. We are looking forward to having new partners who can work closely with us and add value to our brand. Pantum is launching in a few weeks in South Africa and the SADC countries with events in three major cities and a series of road shows. Our products will be available on the UAE market following GITEX."
