- United Arab Emirates: Monday, February 25 - 2013 at 16:02
- PRESS RELEASE
The world leader in food packaging pulsed light sterilisation, Claranor, will be making its first appearance at Gulfood, the Middle East's largest food industry tradeshow, whose next edition is planned for February 25th to 28th, 2013 in Dubai. Already established on the 5 continents and in over 25 countries, Claranor is intent on promoting its technology in the Middle East, where it is targeting industrialists in the beverage and dairy products sector.
Managing Director Christophe Riedel is indeed convinced, "Taking part in Gulfood provides [Claranor] with a chance to promote [its] technology and [its] devices among players in the highly dynamic Middle Eastern beverages and dairy products market."
Claranor develops comprehensive, prior-to-filling sterilisation solutions for, cups, caps and preform necks, intended for the beverage and dairy products industry. The French company stands out from competitors through its pulsed light technology, which no other equipment manufacturer has ever succeeded in industrialising or in making profitable.
By using light as a very powerful impulse, this technology can reach a microbial reduction level of 3 to 5 log for most bacteria, and moulds on packaging. Pulsed light sterilisation offers many benefits: it consumes no water, involves no chemicals, and can easily be integrated on to production lines given the compactness of the devices.
Using pulsed light represents both an economic and ecological alternative to chemical sterilisation (using peroxide or peracetic acid). Its performance helps meet industrial requirements for the packaging of dairy products, refrigerated juice and sensitive soft drinks.
