- PRESS RELEASE
Optimus Technology and Telecommunications, a leading regional Value Added Distributor (VAD) of IT and telecommunications products, announced that the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) has named the company as a new Master Training Partner (MTP) for the Middle East region.
Additionally, with this new partnership agreement, Optimus further strengthens its partnership with CSA, becoming one of the first two MTPs for CSA globally. The new CSA MTP programme will help accelerate worldwide access and adoption of the CCSK certification.
"We signed on Optimus as our Authorized Training Partner exactly a year ago, where they successfully launched and promoted our CCSK programme in the Middle East region. We are happy with their efforts to promote the CCSK programme in this region and wanted to take our partnership to the next level by appointing them as among of our first Master Training Partners globally," said Jim Reavis, Executive Director of the CSA.
"Our mission is to deliver the best practices for security assurance within cloud computing and we are confident this enhanced partnership with Optimus will benefit regional security professionals tremendously as we will have the added resources and investments needed to define and deliver a programme that keeps pace with a constantly changing cloud security landscape."
As an ATP of CSA, Optimus Academy has conducted several training programmes for the CCSK examination, where they have enabled many IT professionals to build a strong foundation and understanding of key information security concepts and help them apply these concepts towards cloud computing security. As a new MTP, Optimus will work closely with CSA to invest in the global expansion of CCSK training availability, with a key focus on the Middle East region.
Meera Kaul, Managing Director of Optimus Technology & Telecommunications, added, "In the recent past we have run industry surveys in the region with respect to Cloud deployment readiness and over 60% of CIOs have stated security as the major impediment to the deployment decision. The CCSK programme, the industry's most trusted user certification programme for the advancement of secure cloud computing, helps security professionals understand cloud security and its challenges and best practices. The new CSA MTP programme is designed to accelerate worldwide access and adoption of the CSA's CCSK certification, where companies will receive the training they need to develop a programme that fits the unique security needs of their organization. Optimus will have no restrictions on where it can hold courses and will work with interested existing training partners to outsource classes and use our instructors in mutually beneficial agreements."
To help ensure that the critical next phase of the CCSK programme growth is successful for all, CSA will be instituting the CCSK Training Partner Network, a community limited to its training partners in the coming months. This network will be used to forge a closer relationship with CSA's training partners and get expert opinions on key business, curriculum and channel development activities that the CSA and its partners can undertake to expand CCSK rapidly and successfully.
As a CSA MTP, Optimus will create a skilled and knowledgeable ecosystem wherein their channel and end user community will be able to choose and deploy the right Cloud Security strategy and solutions. The CCSK programme will further establish Optimus as a significant Thought Leader in the Cloud Computing and Security space.
