Commercialbank registers 7% growth in net income

Qatari lender Commercialbank has said its 2012 net profit rose 7% to QR 2.01bn, compared with QR1.8bn achieved in the previous year, the Peninsula has reported. The bank's total assets grew 12% to QR80bn on December 31, 2012. Lending to customers rose by QR6.9bn to QR 48.6bn with growth generated in both the wholesale and retail businesses, while the non-performing ratio reduced to 1.09%.
