- PRESS RELEASE
Canon Middle East, a leader in imaging solutions, has announced its participation at the upcoming IDC Saudi CIO Summit taking place from 25th to 26th September in Jeddah.
Managed print strategies will be one of the focus areas at the summit. According to analyst firm IDC, managed print services already constitute a $23.3 billion global marketplace as enterprises and small businesses alike look to manage their printing cost and even out printing expenses to a more predictable level. In fact, by 2015, managed print is expected to grow into a $40.5 billion market opportunity.
Commenting ahead of the conference, Naoshi Yamada, Deputy Managing Director, Canon Middle East said: "Most companies only look at the initial cost of hardware without taking into account other running costs such as consumables, electricity, IT support and user productivity. To overcome these challenges, organizations should have an office print strategy in place enabling them to know how many hardcopy output devices they have, narrow down the number of output devices to fit what they actually need, monitor how much they spend on documents and track helpdesk support calls. Canon's Managed Print Service genuinely manages the print environment to deliver significant savings."
As a world leader in office imaging solutions, Canon will also be showcasing its integrated platform for managing office printing equipment at the conference. Amongst its prominent solutions, is the uniFLOW Version 5.1 - a single, scalable and flexible integrated platform for managing both office printing and scanning.
The solution extends its print management capabilities to include mobile printing, advanced device monitoring and enhanced scanning functionality. uniFLOW is the only product in the market that combines advanced device support for many manufacturers with uniquely comprehensive support for the complete range of Canon devices.
