- PRESS RELEASE
Concorde Fujairah Hotel, a luxury accommodation in the heart of the city, will host the Fujairah Open International Taekwondo Championship (FOITC), at its Layalina Ballroom from 1st to 3rd March 2013.
Mohammed Fekry, General Manager, Concorde Fujairah Hotel, commented: "It is indeed an honour to host this year's competition because it will give an added boost to the game which is now getting popular in Fujairah. This competitive yet friendly championship will give way for the athletes to shape up and develop their talents. This is also a good opportunity to introduce the hotel and Fujairah to the participating countries. We look forward to providing the participants with a first-rate and enjoyable stay!"
This is the second time for Fujairah to host a world-class taekwondo event; last year, the Arab Taekwondo Championship also took place in the emirate. The delegations are from the countries of Afghanistan, Bahrain, Croatia, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovenia and Yemen. The group consists of 154 delegates from coaches, organizers and participants of the championship.
