Construction of Iran-Iraq gas pipeline to commence next year

The National Iranian Gas Co (NIGC) has announced local contractors are soon to start construction of a 270km gas pipeline to Iraq that would provide the neighbouring country with 25 million cubic metres per day, Fars news has reported. The 42" pipeline will be dedicated to export Iranian gas to Iraq's al-Mansoureh power plant and Baghdad via Ilam border in Western Iran.
