Corniche Hospital launches its new Outpatient Experience system

The new system includes the inauguration of highly specialized, consultant-based obstetrics and gynaecology clinics.

They will help to reduce waiting times and minimize, and in some instances eliminate, the need for repetitive clinic visits by providing what Corniche leaders call 'the right care in the right place at the right time'.

We are confident that the New Outpatient Experience will have a long-lasting, positive impact on the way care is delivered at our hospital," said Dr. Mariam Al Mazrouei, Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

The new Outpatient Experience already has received positive feedback from both patients and staff.

"As a mother of three who has given birth to all my children at Corniche Hospital, I can see a big difference the new service has brought to patient experience, including reduced waiting time. I appreciate the personal attention and the fact that the hospital staff spends more time with the patients," said Salama Ali, a Corniche Hospital patient.

"We have redesigned the appointment process and streamlined consultations to make them better-tailored to the patients' needs. The redesigned Outpatient Experience system has helped us to eliminate appointment lapses and has enabled greater efficiency in the services we offer," said Dr. Paul Bosio, Corniche Hospital's Chief of Service.

At Corniche, Outpatient Service is supported by Nursing, Patient Access and Patient Affairs teams who offer patients educational materials, as well as by reception officers who help patients navigate the hospital.

Corniche Hospital is owned and operated by Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), which is responsible for the curative activities of all the public hospitals and clinics of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and is managed by Johns Hopkins Medicine International in Baltimore, USA.
