Experts from around the region will deliberate the new wave of building exteriors and the engineering marvels that embellish them at the 5th Annual Façade Design and Engineering Middle East Summit which gets underway tomorrow at the InterContinental Doha.
Kicking off the 2013 edition of the summit will be the hugely anticipated presentation by Mark Fenwick, partner at RFA Iribarren Architects, who will talk about Qatar's FIFA World Cup 2022 stadiums serving as futurist sports venues by using the education City Stadium as a case study.
"The 5th Annual Façade Design and Engineering Middle East summit brings together key industry stakeholders on an interactive platform to spawn new discourse and foster exchange of emerging ideas at a time when buildings are increasingly being designed to show individual character," said Tanya Sydorenko, Senior Conference Director, IQPC, the event organisers.
Further presentations and case studies will circumvent a broad canvas of key topics; energy-efficient façade designs, acoustic performance of facades, façade lighting designs and media facades, green building practices in façade architecture, eco façade engineering, and more.
New for the latest edition of the summit is more than 20 hours of networking opportunities, technology updates, and interactive workshops at the end of each day, among other highlights.
The fifth edition of the annual Façade Design and Engineering Middle East Summit is supported by Eco Façade (Lead Sponsor), besam, Agglotech, Aurubis (Partners), Foamglas, Du Pont SentryGlas (Associate Sponsors), Bahrain Prism Glass Factory, Dow Corning, Alumil Aluminium (Exhibitors), the Italian-Qatari Business Council and Scandinavian Business Council Qatar (Partners), v.e.n.t.u.r.e.s onsite, CMguide.org, Construction1.com, Construction Sites, Qatar Projects Magazine, WhyQatar Magazine (Media Partners).
