Crystal Arc Group invests around $3m in expansion projects and product innovation

Crystal Arc Group, one of the leading pioneers and manufacturers of crystalware and an ISO certified local firm, intends to invest a $1m in product development to market them globally that is in addition to $750,000 already invested in various projects.
Giving details of the project he said: "We have entered into a joint venture with a Saudi company to set up this factory. The purpose of this alliance is to enter the potential Saudi market and explore prospective clients there. Also, as a large number of affluent clients from KSA were coming to Dubai for buying our products, we thought it is better to get closer to them and ensure timely deliveries. However, as the unit in KSA is not very big, larger orders will still be executed from Dubai."
The group has a keen interest in innovation that has kept the company going even during the worst of economic crisis and the group was able to maintain a healthy growth rate of 10 % - 12 % in regional market. Mustansir added: "We believe in producing exclusive pieces and are pioneers in trying new product lines like our crystal range produced in combination with metal. Since casting is done in-house we can ensure versatility and timely production. This singular factor has helped us maintain a 33% market share in the GCC that we hope would increase by at least 7% further in the coming years. Besides this we are constantly looking for strategic partners regionally and globally to market our products at the international level." To achieve this goal, the group intends to participate in major international exhibitions.
Last year the company launched its state-of-the-art Nakawa brand. Nakawa that means pure in Arabic is only manufactured by Crystal Arc in this region employing the Pate de Verre (glass paste) process for art glass and crystal sculptors. The technique packs crushed glass in a refractory mould and then fuses it in a kiln originally invented by the Egyptians. Every Nakawa piece passes through 18 stages before reaching the stores.
