The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) promotes higher education in Germany and is one of the world's largest and most respected intermediary organisations in the field of academic exchange.
In 2005 a DAAD Information centre was established in Abu Dhabi and since 2007 the DAAD is represented in Oman with its office at the German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech).
The DAAD offers comprehensive counseling on all matters related to study and research in Germany and provides counseling services for students, their parents and family and information for university faculties, government offices and research institutes.
"GHEDEX is a great opportunity for prospective students and parents to receive an initial idea of studying in Germany and to gain advice on research opportunities. After GHEDEX, many first-time enquirers seek further consultation at the DAAD office in the following months. The DAAD representative is available for consultation throughout the year and will guide students through their steps to find a placement at a German university," concluded Dr. Huson.
Oman's preferred higher education exhibition-GHEDEX, organised by OITE Trade Fairs falls under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and will see accredited national, international, local and regional colleges and universities highlight the latest developments in the field of education to students, parents and visitors.
