DAFZA Emiratisation at 70% with plans to increase

Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZA) participated at Careers UAE 2013, in line with its efforts to the develop Emirati talent, with a workforce of 70%, at present and plans to increase this figure over the coming years.
For 13 years the Careers UAE Exhibition has been able to empower UAE nationals by making them a top priority in the labour market.
The event gained more prominence this year, especially after the declaration that 2013 will be the Year of Emiratisation. The exhibition gave Emiratis the opportunity to meet over 130 employers across 11 different industry sectors.
Yousuf Behzad, Executive Director of Human Capital and Marketing division at DAFZA, said, "DAFZA recently announced its support to the Absher Initiative, and Careers UAE was the perfect platform for us to communicate more efficiently this initiative.
"Launched by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Absher Initiative is aimed at promoting the inclusion of more UAE nationals in both the public and private sectors.. This is an incredibly positive initiative and as the Freezone continues to grow, we are proud to support our Emirati peers in their career advancement, furthering our vision to contribute to the national economy.
"DAFZA has always been committed to furthering Emiratisation, and as it stands, 100% of senior management at the Freezone are UAE nationals. All employees are provided with ongoing support for their development and undertake more than 30 hours of training annually."
