  • United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, March 06 - 2013 at 04:44

Dana Gas has said it has increased by around 10% its gas production in Egypt with the start-up of operations at two new fields, Reuters has reported. The West Sama-1 and Allium-1 fields in Egypt have started commercial operations less than two months after initial well testing, the Sharjah-based company said. "The wells increase our production by 20 million cubic feet per day, providing much needed additional production to the Egyptian market and maintaining vital supplies of gas for power generation," said the company's acting chief executive, Rashid Al Jarwan.
