Dana Gas reveals 79% increase in net profit

The Middle East's largest regional private sector natural gas firm, Dana Gas has reported a 79% surge in net profit in the first half of 2012 to Dhs387m, compared with Dhs216m in the first half of 2011, Times of Oman has reported. Revenue from the sale of hydrocarbons increased to Dhs1.25bn, with gross profit reaching Dhs767m, due to production growth in Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), coupled with higher market prices for oil, condensate and LPG in the first six months, Dana said.
