Dana Steel resumes operations in Libya

Dana Group has been a provider and supplier of various steel products from close to 25 years.

Products mainly supplied to Libyan market include Steel coils, Cold rolled steel coils, Hot rolled steel coils, Galvanized & Pre painted Coils, profiled sheets and profiles, roll-formed products, stainless steel utensils & water heaters. This is in addition to it's strong FMCG division handling exports of frozen chicken & meat products, biscuits ,carbonated drinks, canned fruits to the Libyan market.

Dr B.S. Dana, Managing Director of Dana Group has been associated with Libya from past 35 years .Dr Dana has recognized the immediate and evolving development needs of the liberated country -Libya.

Dr Dana has restarted Dana operations in Libya with a vision of becoming a One -Stop solution for Steel and Value added Steel products. Dana Steel has opened its new marketing office and Manufacturing Plant at Misurata, Libya to cater to the emerging needs in construction and infrastructure sector.

He was quoted saying "I started my career in Libya, and I wish to do my best in being a part of the reconstruction of Libya .With DANA steel's manufacturing facilities spread across 3 continents we can cater to the varied demands of different geographical locations in a very professional & efficient manner."

Dana Steel Factory, located at Misurata, Libya is continuously scaling up its current production capacity .Facilities available at Dana Steel Factory shall be Fully automatic Steel Coil Service machine, fully automatic cut-to-length coil machine, high precision coil slitting line, roll forming machines for Channels, purlins, profiles, roofing sheets and sandwich panels.

Value added steel products under production at DANA steel Factory, Libya are Metal sheets/slits, Perforated Metal sheets, Profiles, Roofing metal sheets, wall panels, roof and wall panel - Rockwool/polyurethane sandwich panels, c purlin, z purlin, structural steel U channel, Galvanized U channel, C channel, Strut Channels, Slotted angles. Very soon a fully automatic ERW pipe mill will be part of the industrial complex in Libya.

DANA Steel shall also be a provider and trader of bulk commodity products for construction related products namely structural steel, long products - wire rods, angles, beams etc, cement, pipes and tubes.
