  • United Arab Emirates: Monday, October 15 - 2012 at 10:20
  • PRESS RELEASE

As a global provider of clinical drug knowledge, First Databank (FDB) is driving two initiatives to develop its partnerships within the Middle East region.

A brand new corporate website will be launched www.fdbhealth.ae to coincide with FDB exhibiting at the Abu Dhabi Medical Congress on 14-16th October at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, UAE.

Both initiatives will support FDB's drive in the region to improve patient safety and reduce medical errors through the use of its solution, Middle East Drug Knowledge. Specifically designed for the Middle East, Middle East Drug Knowledge provides up-to-date information on registered drugs from the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Middle East. When integrated into clinical systems clinicians benefit from access to accurate and reliable drug information.

Darren Nichols is the Managing Director for FDB and says "FDB is playing an important role by being the first provider of medication management and active clinical decision support in the region. Programs which help to develop relationships with Middle East based healthcare providers are an important part of the Gulf Cooperation Council's plans to widen access to the best possible healthcare throughout the region to reduce medication errors and reduce avoidable harm."

The new website is part of a wider FDB rebrand initiative which encompasses online and print advertising in several trade industry publications and sponsorship across FDB's entire brand and product portfolio.
