The International Travel and Hospitality Show 2013 announces dates for OITE trade fairs latest event

Oman is a undergoing a period of noticeable progress in the tourism and hospitality segment and is expected to witness more growth under Vision 2020 according to The Report: Oman 2012, Oxford Business Group, with the Ministry of Tourism quoting the worth of tourism related property development at $8bn in total.
The Ministry of Tourism continues a great role in promoting the tourism potential of the country through awareness campaigns, trade and consumer educational and tactical campaigns, events marketing and promotions, e-marketing, airline marketing, travel trade and consumer shows and exhibitions and regional tourism marketing and promotion etc, with the year 2012 featuring promotional events like Muscat as the Arab Capital 2012, Muscat Festival 2012, Salalah Tourism Festival 2012, 1 Free Night in Oman campaign, (seeing the Ministry team up with Oman Air, resorts, hotels and tour companies), the 2012 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series final round at Wadi Shab etc, as well as major tourism projects in the pipeline including the $1bn tourist resort in Salalah and a $1bn Oman Conference and Exhibition Centre in Muscat.
The GCC hospitality market is anticipated to grow at an annual rate of 8.1% to $28.3bn by 2016 and occupancy rates are expected to average around 67-73% between 2012 and 2016 making it a lucrative time to invest in the industry.
In recognition of these positive trends, OITE Trade Fairs is pleased to announce the dates for its newest event the International Travel and Hospitality Show (ITHS) 2013 as taking place from 2nd-4th April, 2013 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.
"The ITHS 2013 will offer local and international travel, tourism and hospitality companies, the perfect opportunity to promote inbound, domestic, outbound and international tourism through a display of the latest products, services, trends, options and solutions related to different lines within the travel and hospitality industry.
