  • PRESS RELEASE

Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) will be presenting the second part of its road safety campaign, focused on the importance of the correct use of fire extinguishers to limit the dangers of vehicle fires, at JBR from the 19th to the 22rd of March.

Featuring a host of entertaining and informative activities, the four-day event will give the public the chance to learn more about how to identify which type of fire extinguisher is needed for the different types of vehicle fires, so that they can be prepared to deal with each type of fire.

The activities aimed at people of all ages and walks of life, will include interactive games as well as safety themed colouring books, provided by leading Middle East fire fighting equipment manufacturer NAFFCO, for the kids.

DCD will be presenting a number of educational shows to illustrate how to react when a car fire starts and experts from campaign co-sponsors NAFFCO and Michelin Tyres will also be on hand to answer questions and share their experiences.

DCD is urging everyone to make their way down to JBR to join in the informative fun and have pledged to give out free personal use car fire extinguishers to those who can prove that they have taken the campaign's important lesson to heart.
