DED, EEG sign partnership to manage recyclable paper waste

DED as a member of EEG will allocate special containers to collect recyclable paper materials and ensure that such paper does not have any left-over food, oil or plastic thermal coating. Paper cartons will be flattened before placing them in the containers to save space and make loading and transporting easier.

Omar Khalifa Al Thani, Director - Administration Affairs, Shared Services Sector at DED, said: "Today, governments and organisations are committed to sustainable development measures and environmental programmes to meet the global challenge of climate change and environmental sustainability. Emirates Environmental Group will collect the recyclable paper waste from DED's branches regularly as well as weigh the collected waste and send a detailed monthly report to DED for each of its branches.
