Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has strengthened its eServices package by adding the AutoPay feature which enables automatic bill payment through the Dubai eGovernment payment gateway.
Through this service, DEWA will provide easier and more convenient services to the highest international standards, and support sustainable development.
"His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, had directed government departments to work 24 hours a day and facilitate payment features though mobile phones to make people's life easier, as part of his vision for Dubai Government in the future.
To fulfill these directives and in line with our corporate values and sustainability agenda, we place significant importance on customer satisfaction continuously striving to exceed customer expectations.
"We are committed to enhancing their satisfaction levels by offering new and advanced methods of payment that adds to their convenience. The eServices of DEWA, particularly the addition of the automatic bill payment, highlights our leadership in increasing and promoting the adoption of our eServices as part of our initiatives to reinforce sustainable development, conserve natural resources and promote operational efficiencies. The adoption of cutting-edge technologies is among the key contributing factors to DEWA's excellence model," said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA.
DEWA is continuously looking to adopt cutting-edge technologies that contribute to stronger customer service standards and thus promote overall organisational excellence. The automatic bill payment gateway, characterised by high security and safety standards, is a channel provided to ease paying electricity and water bills. DEWA is leveraging this strong tool, which highlights Dubai's leadership in technology to offer customers unmatched service standards.
The new feature is a strong addition to DEWA's portfolio of customer-focused initiatives. The adoption of this convenient, eco-friendly and sustainable new feature not only enables customers to pay bills remotely, it also helps conserve precious time and energy for customers. It is also aligned with the 'Green Economy for Sustainable Development' initiative which aims to promote green practices.
The adoption of the eServices by a large section of customers will help improve DEWA's overall operational excellence. DEWA continually explores new avenues for further enhancing the convenience of customers.
With the automatic bill payment feature, customers can specify the minimum and maximum amount to be paid to their DEWA accounts automatically every month. All registered users who activate the feature can pay their bills remotely as well as specify how many times the system checks their outstanding amount - on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
By simply registering in Dubai eGovernment payment gateway (mPay) and activating the (AutoPay mPay) feature, customers can now pay their electricity and water bills conveniently and securely. In April, DEWA will conduct a draw of registered customers to win some great prizes.
