- PRESS RELEASE
As part of its vision to be a sustainable world-class utility, and in fulfillment to Dubai's eGovernment strategy, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is further supporting its eConvenience campaign - aimed at encouraging customers to utilise eServices - with the introduction of the revamped DEWA website offering customer oriented eSolutions with the theme of 'Life Events' by the end of Gitex 2012.
"Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and to strengthen Dubai's status as a regional hub for advanced technology, DEWA's efforts have been consistent in introducing and implementing the latest technological solutions to increase awareness of using eServices and educate the society. Our strategy is to continuously update our services with the latest innovative eSolutions," said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.
"The launch of the revamped website is in line with DEWA's strategy to adopt the latest available technological solutions, to provide customers with an effective and convenient experience on the website to attend to daily needs. In addition, the new website directs costumers to the available eServices rather than browsing several pages to reach the required information," said Marwan Bin Haider, CIO and Vice President of IT at DEWA.
"Customers will see fewer tabs to click on when opening the newly revamped DEWA website; this will ease the selection process based on the reason for browsing. We designed these tabs to directly cater to our costumers' needs and requests, therefore, selections are categorised into services such as 'Move out of my current home', 'View and pay my bill online' within the 'I want to' category, information about conservation and customer service centres within the 'I am' category, and 'I want to know more about DEWA's story so far within the 'About DEWA' and 'News & Activities' categories," added Bin Haider.
