DEWA organises annual partners' appreciation ceremony

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organised the Annual Partners' Appreciation Ceremony, attended by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, directors of Government Departments and DEWA's strategic partners, as part of its efforts to further strengthen cooperation and joint work with government departments and key strategic partners, and to achieve its vision to become a sustainable world-class utility.
During the event, DEWA presented its future projects and plans to support Dubai, to achieve the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to maintain Dubai's leading position as a global hub for trade, finance and tourism.
"DEWA is committed to its vision to become 'A Sustainable World-Class Utility' and effectively contribute to the social, economic and environmental development of the Emirate by ensuring uninterrupted supplies of electricity and water to achieve Dubai's vision," said Al Tayer.
"Our Partners are among the main pillars of DEWA's success story. Our valuable partners are part of our major resources needed to operate successfully, achieve our strategic objectives and contribute to the successful execution of Dubai's Strategic Plan. We regularly cooperate with our partners to improve performance, and provide quality services to our customers. In this respect, we are guided by the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai," added Al Tayer.
"Partnership in DEWA is based on mutual agreements between two or more parties to invest the available resources and expertise to reach common short- or long-term goals - with the agreed responsibilities, inputs and outputs," said Al Tayer.
"Our strategic partnerships with government departments and the private sector enhances mutual collaboration, in terms of sharing knowledge and information, to achieve progress and prosperity. Such partnerships also streamline and facilitate the delivery of top-quality services, and develop mutual relationships. These achieve the necessary conditions for economic development, improve working conditions, sharing innovative concepts, encourage economic competitiveness in Dubai, and provide an integrated workplace where all effective facilities and services are available, using state-of-the-art techniques that keep pace with the economic progress of the UAE," said Al Tayer.
"We are glad to honour our strategic partners from government departments and the private sector and recognize their essential key roles in reaching our common goals, for the greater good," concluded Al Tayer.
