Dubai-based property developer Deyaar has reported a surge in third-quarter net profit as it halved costs to make up for a drop in revenue, Daily Tribune has reported. The emirate's second-largest developer by market value made a third-quarter net profit of Dhs5.1m ($1.4m), compared with Dhs700,000 recorded during the same period in 2011, it said. Revenue for the quarter, however, fell to Dhs137.4m from Dhs184.4m in the prior-year period, it added.
