The first alumni CEO roundtable was held at The Sultan's School, Oman's leading bilingual school, to discuss topics such as current employment trends and secrets to success in the workplace. The event was hosted and organised by the Alumni Executive Committee on behalf of The Sultan's School Alumni Association.
The passion and discipline associated with The Sultan's School students was a recurring theme throughout the evening.
Graeme Garrett, Principal at The Sultan's School said, "The proactive efforts of the alumni have allowed us to establish vital links between past and present students, cementing our beliefs of enhancing the educational environment. Through this expanding network of alumni in different positions in various industries, successful CEOs such as Salam and Mulham serve as role models to our students, inspiring them to excel in academics and to pursue successful careers. Events such as these give us an opportunity to look back on the added advantages students graduating from the school have when entering the workplace."
During the roundtable discussions, guest speaker Salam Al Shaksy described 'Passion, attitude and mindset with qualifications and a solid educational background' as the winning combination to a long and successful career.
While Mulham Al Jarf, explained, "It is important to always think globally in respect to overcoming barriers that inhibit ambitions.
The overwhelming positive feedback received will result in future roundtable discussions with other alumni in high ranking positions, focusing on different employment industries within the Sultanate."
