- PRESS RELEASE
The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), the master developer and licensing authority for the Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) Free Zone, is proud to announce the development of a 55,000 square metre community park in the heart of its 200-hectare development.
Matthew Lomax, Director of Property at DMCC, said:
"The JLT of tomorrow will be unique in Dubai, providing residents and people working in the JLT Free Zone with striking waterfront and park views and access to a multi-purpose, family-friendly park. Today's announcement reflects our desire to continually improve and innovate as we seek to enhance our dynamic residential and business community.
"This also represents a perfect example of the importance of maintaining an ongoing dialogue with our community. Over the past year, we have engaged with residents, owners associations and tower developers alike to get their opinions on the community park and have been inundated with positive feedback, with an outdoor green space top of their wish-list."
JLT's new park will replace Lake C and offer the opportunity to enjoy a much needed outdoor space. The pedestrian bridge will further enhance pedestrian access throughout the community and JLT's new planned facilities including; two pedestrian boulevards; shaded pathways connecting the various areas of the park; children's amenities; picnic areas; open lawn areas; exercise areas; a lake side plaza; a pedestrian link bridge to the south side of JLT; and access to retail outlets on the promenade, all accessible via conveniently located drop off and parking options.
The enhancements to the JLT community are a response to extensive community consultation between DMCC, Concordia, Tower Developers and Owners Associations.
