DMCC hosts members of New York Diamond Dealers Club

The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), a Government of Dubai Authority, announced that it is hosting the Diamond Dealers Club of New York at the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE) in Almas Tower, Jumeirah Lakes Towers.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman, DMCC, said, "With its prime location at the heart of the New Silk Route, Dubai has rapidly risen as one of the world's leading diamond trading centres, further demonstrated by frequent delegations from our peers from established markets such as New York, London and Antwerp."
He added, "We are pleased to host the New York Diamond Dealers Club at the Dubai Diamond Exchange. Through ensuring a constant dialogue with other key industry participants, we remain focussed on fulfilling our mission to establish Dubai as the global gateway for commodity trade."
Reuven Kaufman, Head of the New York Diamond Dealers Club, is leading a delegation that includes a number of the world's top diamond traders: Philip Lazarus Diamond, BKR Asia Ltd., Chester International, Edelstein Diamonds, Isaac Davidowits, Ishaia Trading Corp, Ishay Ben-David Corp, A. Shaer & Sons, J. Zupnick & Co., Jack Reiss, Julius Klein Diamonds, L.J. West Diamonds Inc., Leo Einhorn Inc., Moguldiam Inc, Roy Herzl, Inc., S.B. Diamond Corp., SDI Inc., Shalom Bronstein Inc., and Brinks.
Kaufman said, "Over the past decade, Dubai has grown to complement key diamond trading hubs and at the New York Diamond Dealers Club we recognise the importance of strengthening our trading ties with manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers based in the UAE."
"That is why we are delighted to host a viewing here at Almas Tower in Dubai for the first time and hope to meet many industry participants and future trading partners operating in the Middle East in the next few days", said Reuven Kaufman, Head of the New York Diamond Dealers Club," added Kaufman.
During the visit, the New York Diamond Dealers Club will also showcase its selection of exquisite diamonds in a four-day viewing that is open to private local companies. Collections on display include Ishay Ben-David Corporation's 50-carat Pear Shape diamond, its black diamond necklace and 13.50 carat yellow diamond ring.
This visit comes a month before the inaugural Dubai Diamond Conference on March 18-19; the two-day conference will bring together international leaders of the diamond industry ranging from African Ministers to traders, financiers and world-renowned jewellers.
