- PRESS RELEASE
Dolphin Energy Limited today unveiled details of its activity schedule for the upcoming Abu Dhabi Science Festival.
"The response to last year's inaugural event was overwhelming and we are delighted to provide support once again. We hope our presence at ADNEC and on the Corniche will help visitors embrace science, technology and innovation (STI), encourage young Emiratis into our sector and demonstrate that STI lies at the heart of everything we do at Dolphin Energy," explained Mr. Ibrahim Ahmed Al Ansaari, General Manager, Dolphin Energy, UAE.
The company, which is responsible for providing 30% of the UAE's energy requirements, is sponsoring the Dolphin Energy Theatre at ADNEC - home to activities including 'Arcs and Sparks', 'The Future Energy Show', 'In the Zone', 'Powers of Perception', 'Science Olympics' and 'Visualize'.
The shows start on Wednesday 10th October and run until Saturday 20th October. Doors open on Wednesday at 4.00pm with the first show starting at 5.00pm. Tickets for the shows and workshops must be purchased for the theatre and can be bought from the ADNEC box office or online at abudhabisciencefestival.ae. The Festival's full schedule can be also accessed on the website.
In addition, Dolphin Energy is running a series of interactive exhibits at its purpose built stand on the Abu Dhabi Corniche, West Plaza from 10th - 20th October 2012. There, visitors can enjoy an array of activities over an 11 day period that include the 'Human Gyroscope', 'See the Big World of Small Things in a Telescope', 'Look at Galaxies Through 3D Glasses', 'Quiz Time with Smart Robot', 'Catch the Clouds of Dry Ice', 'Make and Take Home Figurines' and a 'Do it Together Painting'.
The timings for the activities taking place on the stand at the Corniche are weekdays from 5pm - 9pm and weekends from 4pm - 10pm. Admission is free of charge.
"We have seen how the Festival inspired the young last year and we believe that future success can only be guaranteed if we give them the opportunities to explore and engage, to provide platforms that help foster their talent and offer them the tools required to grow into the roles required for tomorrow," Mr. Al Ansaari concluded.
