- PRESS RELEASE
Dubai Properties Group (DPG), a member of Dubai Holding, has continued to develop its 'Helping Children Smile' programme with two further activities in February to give back to Dubai's community.
To further highlight its commitment to improving the lives of those less fortunate, DPG donated over 300 chairs and 150 pieces of furniture to Al Noor Centre for Children with Special Needs.
Speaking about the activities Sahar AlAnsari, Director of Real Estate Management at DPG, said, "I am very proud to see our newly launched 'Helping Children Smile' initiative grow so quickly and help support important causes such as children's education. DPG's involvement in these activities falls under our 'Responsible Living' umbrella and we will continue to invest in this initiative by involving our staff members in other activities that can give back to the community that we operate in".
'Helping Children Smile' will include a further schedule of activities over the coming months to give back to children in need seeing that assistance and visits to special needs and children's facilities will be an integral part of the programme. The initiative is part of DPG's continued efforts to develop its 'Responsible Living' platform, which is designed to facilitate events and joint initiatives with nonprofit organizations in an attempt to give back to the community within which DPG operates.
The relationship with the Al Noor Centre for Children with Special Needs began in 2007, the centre's new facility can accommodate up to 300 children and with the help of DPG's donation it will be a more comfortable residence for the children. In addition to its donation DPG is currently selling raffle tickets to help support the children of the centre, purchasers of the tickets will have a chance to win products of high value at a draw that will take place on the 9th of March - all proceeds of the raffle will go to Al Noor Centre to support child education.
