DQG, ASCON sign investment partnership

The Dubai Quality Group (DQG) and Associated Construction & Investment Company LLC (ASCON) have signed a new investment partnership agreement. The agreement is aimed at enhancing co-operation between the two sides at various levels, exchange knowledge and idea on quality, excellence besides improvement of businesses.

Mutual benefit of experience, initiatives and ideas of the Group and its partners would be in focus while working together under the partnership.

In this regard, a three-member delegation from DQG including Ms. Badria Al-Tamimi, General Manager, Sunil Bahri, Director of Finance, and Prashant Nasery, Board Member visited ASCON. They bestowed a certificate of appreciation to Abid A. Junaid, Executive Director of ETA ASCON Group. The visiting delegation was received by Madan M. Rao, Deputy General Manager - Business Development, and K.V. Ramachandran, Senior Manager - Quality Assurance.

Speaking on the occasion, Badria Al-Tamimi said the Group is working hard with each passing day to add more to its achievements as a result the quality, excellence and creativity among all its partners, members and investors is increasing remarkably. Al-Tamimi indicated that the new partnership agreement comes as an indicator of confidence that DQG spares no stone unturned in reaching out to all segments of organizations, companies and members, to leave a positive impact in all circles of society. DQG's efforts are also meant to entrench the principles of partnership, investment, quality and excellence promised by the Group in all its initiatives and visions for a better reality always.

Welcoming the agreement of investment partnership between ASCON and DQG, Abid Junaid said is a win-win situation for each party that seeks competition and innovation in the field of their work whatsoever.

Junaid said, "ASCON believes in constant innovations and has put in place processes that constantly better the delivery in terms of quality, processes, safety and environmental systems."

He explained: "Quality construction and timely delivery have been the hallmarks of our success. We have always striven to work with reputable clients for quality projects. Meeting high standards of customer satisfaction have added immensely to our credibility."

He mentioned, "ASCON is the recipient of several awards, including the Dubai Quality Award in 2011, the Dubai Quality Appreciation Programme in 2008, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award for Excellence in Construction category in 2007, and more, thus ASCON has established a pre-eminent position in the construction sector in the region."

ASCON is the civil vertical of the successful ETA ASCON Group and was incorporated in 1973 to undertake civil engineering projects in Dubai. The ETA ASCON Group has over the last three decades expanded and diversified into a wide array of activities, apart from developing a nationwide presence in the entire UAE and other parts of the world. The Group's turnover is in excess of $5bn and it employs a workforce of more than 65,000 people.
