Dr. Rashid AL Leem attends formal inauguration of twin trade events at Muscat

Twin trade events that spotlight the growing prowess of Mechanical-Electrical-Plumbing service providers as well as the machinery, tools, hardware and equipment industry - opened today in Muscat, Oman, heralding the promise of a vibrant era of prosperity for these key sectors.
"I am confident that IMTEX Oman and its companion conference, MEP 2012, will serve as effective arenas for the exchange of information, experiences and expertise that will help strengthen our domestic industry," The Chief Guest H.E Al Maimani said.
Highlighting to His Excellency Sulaiman Saleh Al Maimani the Sharjah's significance as an investment hub with two fast-growing, successful and dynamic free zones Dr. Rashid mentioned, "Sharjah has two Free Zones that offer best infrastructure facilities and high quality services to welcome foreign investment in various sectors like manufacturing, trade and services."
highlighting the success of HFZA he added, "HFZA encompasses 5,700 companies from across 140 countries and has connectivity with three seaports: Hamriyah Port, Khalid Port and Khorfakkan Port."
"All three ports are well connected by an extensive road network throughout the UAE and GCC making HFZA the ideal transshipment hub for the Indian Subcontinent, North and East Africa and the Arabian Gulf," elaborated Dr. Al Leem.
MEP Oman and IMTEX Oman 2012 are being held under the patronage of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry considered as a first-ever forum on the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing 'MEP' services industry.
More than 100 key decision-makers and MEP professionals representing a wide cross-section of government ministries, public sector organizations, embassies are attending the proceedings among as many as 103 local, regional and international companies are exhibiting their products and services during the two-day fair.
