  • PRESS RELEASE

Du has announced the allocation of a second plane to take a further 280 loyal Emirati customers to Bahrain, to support the UAE national team in the final of the Gulf Cup of Nations.

In response to huge demand from its customers and with the addition of the extra charter flight, Du will now fly a total of 630 fans to Bahrain for the match on 18 January.

Farid Faraidooni expressed his wishes for the UAE team to come back as the winner of the Gulf Cup of Nations.

"We are very happy with the response we've received from our customers for this initiative, and wanted to give even more UAE nationals the chance to support our team from the sidelines during this exciting match," Farid Faraidooni said.

"This is the very least we can do for our country and our football team as they face Iraq in the final. It is every proud Emirati's dream to see the Cup come back to the UAE," he added.

All Emirati customers participating in the initiative were invited by SMS. The seats were booked on a first come, first served basis.
