Du holds ceremony to honour support teams in support of HH Sheikh Mohammed's 'Thank You' campaign

In line with the 'Thank You' campaign announced by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Du held a ceremony to honour 289 office helpers and facilities support teams by presenting them with gifts of appreciation.

The ceremony was attended by Osman Sultan, CEO, Du, and Farid Faraidooni, Chief Commercial Officer, Du, among other senior members of the Du management, who thanked the support teams for their hard work and dedication.

"It is our pleasure to honour every one of our employees, whose collective effort has led to our success. No matter what their job is, everyone has an important role to play and we are proud to show our appreciation by presenting our colleagues with a token of our gratitude," said Hala Badri, Executive Vice President, Brand and Communications, Du. "We value each of our support staff members who work behind the scenes and ensure our office environment and retail shops are well maintained at all times, making our lives easier."

Additionally crowds thronged an exclusive, free screening of Hindi movie 'Dabangg', organised and managed by Du employees and external volunteers, on 4 January at Sonapur labour camp. Giveaways were available for many attendees, while volunteers, including members of Du's staff and members of the public, served refreshments throughout the event.

Also, over 200,000 labourers received an SMS from Du over the weekend, thanking them for their support and contribution to the UAE.

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced that his Accession Day celebrations would be dedicated to thanking and honouring domestic workers, janitors, public transportation drivers, construction workers and office support workers.
