- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, September 23 - 2012 at 14:04
The DFM General Index (DFMGI) slipped 0.76% to 1,592.78 points Sunday. Emaar Properties closed down 1.12% to Dhs3.54. Union Properties fell 3.45% to Dhs0.392. Shares of Al Medina for Finance and Investment gained the most (up 4.10% at Dhs0.895). Earlier in the day, Kuwait-based Global Investment House said a court of appeal in Dubai has rejected Al Medina's appeal to pay $10.01m plus legal costs to Global in a judgement from the court of first instance on April 4 this year. Despite today's decline, the DFMGI's primary trend is still upwards.
