Dr. Belaid Rettab, Senior Director, Economic Research and Sustainable Business Development Sector, Dubai Chamber, congratulated the winning companies and presented the Certificates of Recognition and the SME Exporter of the Month trophies to Swift Telecom FZCO, Khushi Trading Co. LLC, Hawraa Alwadi General Trading LLC and Taj Al Mulook General Trading LLC.
Swift Telecom FZCO received the honour for Recent Start-Up Company with the highest export value in May, while Khushi Trading Co. LLC emerged as the company with the highest number of Certificates of Origin applied for in the month of June. The company with the Highest Export Value during July was Hawraa Alwadi General Trading LLC, and Taj Al Mulook General Trading LLC was recognised as the company with the highest number of markets exported to in the month of August.
Dr. Rettab congratulated the awardee companies for their achievements and urged them to continue their good efforts in enhancing the position of Dubai as the third largest re-export centre in the world as well as to directly contribute to the economic development of the emirate.
He also emphasized that the SMEs play an essential role in the growth and development of the economy of Dubai.
Dr. Rettab called upon the exporters to benefit from the exclusive business-friendly incentives including world-class trading, logistics and financial services offered by Dubai to all its investors.
He said, "The SME Exporter of the Month is an important Dubai Chamber initiative and is part of our strategic objectives of supporting the development of business and creating a favourable business environment. It also goes on to encourage companies to enhance their performance while helping drive the economy and to promote Dubai as a major international business hub."
Top officials of the honouree companies expressed their gratitude to Dubai Chamber for the support provided to them. They said the recognition encourages positive and healthy competition which yields numerous benefits to the company's performance and helps benefit the overall competitiveness of Dubai businesses.
Dubai Chamber launched SME Exporter of the Month in 2009, under the name SME Exporter of the Quarter, in order to recognise, support and encourage strong trade performance. The name was changed last year to make it a monthly event due to its popularity and success.
