Dubai Chamber's Corporate Governance conference to be held on November 28

Top global and local Corporate Social Responsibility experts will discuss corporate governance and its importance in value creation at the Dubai Dialogue conference organised by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Centre for Responsible Business at the Chamber headquarters on Wednesday, November 28.

Entitled, Dubai Dialogue: Corporate Governance and Value Creation, the conference will provide UAE businesses with an overview of emerging trends in corporate governance and the importance of adopting the right structures and the roles of boards in driving corporate governance through people, process, policy and culture.

The two workshops during the conference will look at how companies can design integrated corporate governance structures and how boards can better identify risk and craft effective internal controls to ensure long-term value creation.

The conference will have a welcome speech by H.E. Hisham Abdullah Al Shirawi, 2nd Vice Chairman, Dubai Chamber, and the speakers include Dr. Belaid Rettab, Senior Director, Economic Research and Sustainable Business Development Sector, Dubai Chamber, and representatives from mashreq, Unilever, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, Good Governance Institute, Paris Gallery, and JRG International Brokerage DMCC.

The Center for Responsible Business, which was formed in 2004, is the longest standing center promoting business responsibility in the UAE. The Center assists Dubai Chamber members to apply responsible business practices that enhance their performance and competitiveness.
