Dubai Children's Council elects its new office bearers for the term 2013-15

Dubai Children's Council has elected its new office bearers for the term 2013-15,informed official sources with Dubai Municipality.
26 member council elected their leaders under the supervision of a higher body comprised by officials from the civic body and Knowledge and Human Resources Development Authority.
The new council members are: Ayesha Hassan Abdulla, Sireen Salem Fahad, Maryam Mahmoud, Fatima Mohammed Abdullah, Ameera AbdulRaheem, Meetha Majid Jumaa, Buthaina Khaled Ahmad, Sarah Abdul Rahman Ansari, Badoor Abdul Hameed Matar, Majed Abdul Rasheed, Mohammed Khalifa Hamily, Maryam Khalid, Shamaa Essa Al Muhairy, Hamad Abdul Nasser, Hamad Mohammed Butty, Fatima Nasser Ali Lootah, Maryam Saif Salem Shamisy, Mohammed Hussain Lootah, Abdullah Essam, Afrah Tariq Abdullah, Reem Essa Mohammed Ali and Hamda Fuad and Mohammed Shamisy.
"Dubai Municipality has been keen to capitalize the talent of children for the overall development of the Emirate. Based on this commitment, Dubai Municipality established Children's Council and has been supervising it on various activities that benefitted the society," said Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality, while he spoke after announcing newly elected leaders.
"We have to make them participate in the society making process. They have talent and high intellectual capabilities. What they need from us is platforms to accommodate their capacity and explore the possibilities," he added saying.
He praised the outgoing office bearers for their efforts to lead the council to newer heights by various initiatives and projects.
He honoured Muad Salah Darvesh, Amna Khalil Ebrahim and Fatima Adil who were in the leadership panel of the former council.
Fatima Al Marry, CEO of Dubai School Agency and Khalid Ali Bin Zayed, Assistant Director General, DM also attended on the occasion.
