  • PRESS RELEASE

Consumer finance firm, Dubai First and Flydubai, Dubai's innovative low-cost airline, have signed an agreement that allows the credit card company's customers to redeem reward points in return for Flydubai vouchers.

Under the agreement, holders of Dubai First Visa Silver and Gold Cards, the DPG Platinum Card, and Business Cards, can use their vouchers to pay for flights to any of Flydubai's destinations. The value of the voucher will be based on a customer's accumulated reward points.

Ibrahim Al-Ansari, Chief Executive of Dubai First, said, "We are pleased to have partnered with Flydubai, as this boosts our products' attributes and reward program affiliations, while helping us meet customer demands for airline redemption partners."

Flydubai began operations in June 2009 and now flies to more than 50 destinations across the GCC, Middle East, North Africa, Indian Subcontinent, Asia and Central & Eastern Europe. The airline is committed to quality service at an affordable price. It offers a fare inclusive of taxes and hand baggage, with all other services, such as checked luggage, refreshments on board and in-flight entertainment available as optional extras. Under this arrangement, Dubai First customers can visit such diverse destinations as Sri Lanka, Kiev, Istanbul, or Russia, among others.

Commenting on the agreement, Flydubai's CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith, said, "As we expand our network of redemption partners, a greater number of people will now be able to enjoy the flydubai experience for less. We look forward to welcoming Dubai First's customers on board."
