Dubai International Arbitration Centre training course to highlight techniques of resolving commercial disputes

The Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), a Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry initiative, has joined hands with Centre for the Transnational Law (CENTRAL) University of Cologne, Germany, to offer a specialised course on Practical Techniques for Handling International Commercial Arbitration, at the Centre's premises from September 17 to 19.
The training course with its highly practical and interactive teaching concepts consists of interactive workshops and mock exams, which will introduce the unique aspects of international commercial arbitration to lawyers, business executives and young practitioners wishing to develop their skills in commercial arbitration.
The training course comes as part of Dubai International Arbitration Center's efforts in introducing the unique aspects of international commercial arbitration in Dubai and to promote the latest means of resolving trade disputes which will go a long way in stimulating the business environment in the Emirate.
Created in 1994 as the "Centre for Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration", the Dubai International Arbitration Centre is an autonomous, non-profit institution. As a professional specialist, the DIAC, with its team of international arbitrators, seeks to provide a flexible and impartial mechanism in resolving and settling international disputes locally, regionally and internationally at competitive prices. It oversees the procedures of arbitration in commercial disputes, appointment of arbitrators, fixing the place of arbitration and the arbitrators' fees.
