- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, April 30 - 2013 at 03:47
Dubai Airports has said the number of passengers passing through Dubai International airport in March rose 20.6% to a record 5.8 million, the highest since August 2012 and the fourth consecutive month with more than five million passengers and a double-digit growth, Gulf News has reported. The increase, which was mainly driven by the Western European routes launched by Emirates and Flydubai, is expected to continue in the second quarter of this year owing to ongoing expansion projects at Dubai International, said Dubai Airports chief executive, Paul Griffiths.
