Dubai Islamic Bank recognised at CCR Credit Excellence Awards

Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) announced that its Retail Credit Department has won the 'International Credit Management' category at the CCR Credit Excellence Awards 2012, the world's leading credit industry conference.
Now in their third year, the CCR Credit Excellence Awards, held in association with the Marston Group, honour companies and individuals who have demonstrated best practice credit management over the past 12 months.
Commenting on the award, Abdulla Al Hamli; Chief Executive Officer, Dubai Islamic Bank, said, "By adopting prudent credit policies, DIB has been able to continue supporting the financing needs of its customers and of the nation during a period of constrained liquidity. I would like to emphasise that managing risk is part of the bank's culture and reflects the DIB team's commitment to sensibly manage its businesses. I would like to congratulate DIB's Retail Credit team and the entire bank on receiving this richly deserved award."
This is the second consecutive year that DIB has been recognised at the Credit Excellence Awards. In 2011, the bank's Retail Credit Department took home the "Credit Excellence Award in Risk."
