Dubai Ladies Club celebrates UAE National Day with events and promotions centred around the theme of '41 years'

With the approach the UAE's National Day on 2nd December, 2012, Dubai Ladies Club, a member of Dubai Women Establishment, will be a showcase of national pride in celebration of the 41st Anniversary by hosting a variety of exciting cultural events and promotions inspired by the national spirit.

On Thursday, 29th November, 2012, Dubai Ladies Club will celebrate UAE National Day by organising a full day of exciting and cultural activities for children and mothers. This event has been sponsored by The Women's Sports Committee of Dubai Sports Council.

On the occasion, Muna bin Kalli, Executive Director of Dubai Ladies Club said, "Dubai Ladies Club is pleased to share and rejoice in the patriotic spirit. This event is a humble tribute to this great country, and a salute to the forward-looking vision the UAE espouses."

The day's agenda will include a special UAE-themed bazaar where small businesses from across the country will come together to showcase a specially designed collection of products that represent the National Day spirit. The exhibition will run from 11am until 9pm in the main foyer and is open to all ladies. Moreover, The Dollhouse, a full-service beauty salon located within Dubai Ladies Club will be available to apply special UAE-themed Nail Art for ladies from 3pm until 8pm. In addition to this, Dubai Ladies Club is also inviting children to enjoy a variety of fun and creative activities which will include arts & crafts, face painting, sing along and puppet shows. This children's party will take place from 4pm until 6pm and is open to all children from the ages of 4 years to 11 years. All children are encouraged to wear National dress or UAE-themed costumes, as the best dressed guest will also receive special prizes for their efforts. The event is open to all ladies - members & non members - as well as children.

H.E. Laila Suhail, President of The Women's Sports Committee in Dubai Sports Council said, "We are pleased to sponsor these National Day Celebrations at Dubai Ladies Club. We strongly believe that to encourage & develop women's sports, the matter should start from within the families who should try to make physical activity a part of their daily lifestyle. The greatest role for developing women's sport is to be played by sports clubs. Hence we are very proud to support this event as it brings together family, friends and the entire UAE community to share in the patriotism of 2nd December."

It is worth-mentioning that Women' Sports Committee in DSC is keen to develop the sports & cultural activities for women. In this respect, the Committee adopts sports & cultural programs aiming to encourage women to practice sports activities and to deepen this trend in the social culture for both family & society.

The strategic objective of The Women's Committee is to support women's sport in Dubai in order to attain the visions & goals of Dubai Sports Council; participate in women's sports events; enhance the strategic partnerships which are signed in the women sports field; establish a well-based women sports infrastructure; sponsor women sports talents; attract women sports spectators; popularize the sports concepts to create a secured healthy sports society; encourage women to participate in all local, regional & international sports events; develop the level of women's sport; organize women's sports events & activities.
