Dubai municipality says melamine in UAE safe

The municipality of Dubai has denied the presence of carcinogenic urea formaldehyde in melamine food containers in the country, Gulf Today has reported. The existing food safety systems stipulate that material that come in contact with food should be treated the way food is treated with respect to integrity and compliance with health conditions, said the civic body.
