- PRESS RELEASE
The operational excellence of the Aujan Coca-Cola Beverages Company (ACCBC), formerly known as Aujan Industries, the leading still beverage manufacturer in the Middle East, was recognised by the Dubai Municipality on the sidelines of Gulfood.
Established in 2005, ACCBC's DIP manufacturing facility produces two of the company's best known brands, Rani, the number one juice drink in the Middle East, and Barbican, the hugely popular malt beverage.
John Kelly, Plant General Manager, Aujan Coca-Cola Beverages Company, said: "The success of ACCBC lies in the efficiency of our operations and the excellence of our employees. We thank the municipality for this award, which recognises the dedication, precision and attention to detail that goes in to every stage of the process to make our beverages."
Khalid Mohammed Sharif, Food Control Department Director, Dubai Municipality, said: "Promoting best practice among companies in Dubai is at the centre of the municipality's work. Through these awards we have been able to identify a group of best-in-class companies which exemplify the most modern, efficient and safe production methods. We hope that other companies will follow the example set by all food establishments which were recognized during this year's award, and promote a similar culture of food safety culture within their own organisations."
The prestigious award from the Dubai Municipality follows the factory's recent Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) re-certification, and Emirates Authority for Standardization & Metrology (ESMA) Quality Award and Environmental Performance Card award 2012.
