Dubai Municipality has urged the public and participating organizations to register for the Car Free Day 2013 through its website.

"The information included in registration form will help us to follow up and encourage the participants giving them surprises," he added.
Dubai Municipality had first launched the Initiative in 2010 as a humble beginning for its employees in which 1,000 vehicles participated deducting three tons of carbon emission. In 2012, Department of Land and Property, Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Etisalat also joined the Municipality increasing the number vehicles to 2,400 and deducting the carbon emission by 4.2 tons.
