  • PRESS RELEASE

OPEX 2012, the financial COO event of the year, is the eighth edition of annual conferences on achieving operational excellence in banking and finance. Being hosted on 19 - 20 November 2012, Dubai, OPEX 2012 will gather COOs, CEOs, and other decision makers to discuss, brainstorm and strategise options to achieve the optimum capacity in terms of operations, technology, business processes and people management.

Achieving operational excellence is becoming an increasingly pressing item on the agendas of banking CEOs worldwide.

Yet while banks generally acknowledge that their processes and productivity could be vastly improved, relatively few have a firm grip on the steps they must take to raise their operations to a level of true excellence.

Banks and other financial institutions in the Middle East are striving for improving their day to day business by bringing efficiency to processes and operations.

The highlight of OPEX 2012 will be marked by the involvement of COOs of various companies who will participate in the COO Panel titled The Future of Banking Operations.

Christopher Taylor - COO of Abu Dhabi Finance PJSC, Ian Lucy - COO of Bank Al Jazira, Amgad Younes - Group COO of Barwa Bank, Abdullah N. Al Eisa - COO of Jadwa Investment Company, Andrew Morris, COO: Middle East & Africa for Global Banking & Markets are the featured panelists for this key session.

Industry leaders and experts will be sharing their knowledge in over 20 knowledge-sharing sessions, relevant case studies and engage in networking opportunities to improve the workstyle and maintain efficiency by achieving operational excellence.
