More Dubai residents used public transport in 2013

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has said passenger numbers using Dubai's public transport system have increased in 2012, Khaleej Times has reported. The total number of public transport users rose by 21,157,000 to 367.657 million passengers in 2012, compared with figures from the previous year. The daily ridership of Dubai Metro, public buses, marine transit modes and Dubai taxi and franchise companies exceeded one million passengers in 2012, said the RTA.
