Four Dubai shares buck market retreat

The DFM General Index closed 0.40% to 1,967.96 points. Investors in East and West took a more cautious approach after China reported a GDP growth of 7.7 in Q1, significantly lower than expected (HSBC forecasts for 2013 an annual growth of 8.8%). Shares of Gulf General Investment Co. or GGICO declined the most (off 5.88% at Dhs0.336). Emirates NBD gained against the trend (up 3.37% at Dhs4.30). 322m shares were traded, valued at Dhs368m.
