Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), the regulatory body for Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the integrated free zone technology park, announced its participation at CeBIT 2013 in Hanover, Germany, will witness a showcase of its enabling business environment for hi-tech firms seeking to expand into the MENA region.

The world's largest and most renowned trade fair for IT and telecommunications, CeBIT 2013 is scheduled to run from 5-9 March, 2013. DSOA's seniors will highlight the tech-park's solid value proposition to global technology industries and the growing opportunities in a region that is eager for more technology innovations.

Dr. Juma Al Matrooshi, Executive VP - Commercial at DSOA, said: "Last year's CeBIT participation proved to be very successful for Dubai Silicon Oasis. Our presence generated significant interest in Dubai and the Middle East region, especially from companies planning to set up businesses in this region. Leveraging this focus, we will continue to spotlight the enabling environment that we provide to our technology customers, which is complemented by state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities, world class IT services as well as business & technology incubation support services. We also hope to initiate conversations with potential business partners looking towards the high-tech park as their next growth destination."

Dubai Silicon Oasis' participation at CeBIT 2013 follows its successful presence at High Tech Road Show 2013 in Washington, D.C., earlier this year.

Now in its 27th edition, CeBIT is the world's largest trade fair showcasing digital IT and telecommunications solutions for home and work environments. Visitors to the show come from varied industries such as the wholesale/retail sector, skilled trade, banks, the services providers, government agencies, and science. It is considered an international platform for networking and introducing new products. The exhibition is organised by Deutsche Messe AG.

CeBIT 2012 attracted 4,250 exhibitors and 312,000 visitors including 130 business and government delegations from 110 countries. The five-day event hosted 1,500 workshops.

A wholly-owned entity of the government of Dubai, DSO operates as a free zone technology park for semiconductors, microelectronics and other electronics-based companies looking to set up their regional headquarters and research and development divisions in Dubai.
